I've been watching a lot of MTV lately. MTV Canada, anyways, which is far and ahead in terms of the talk portions of their programming. I watched Tila Tequila last night, and they aired this program called 'The Hangover.' I understand the purpose of this. It's along the lines of the Aftershow that aired after Laguna Beach and the Hills. I've never seen any of the aftershows from the American channel, but I know how excellent the Hills aftershow is with Jessi and Dan. I've heard they're even broadcasting them in the states. What I don't understand is how awful the 'Hangover' was. Like, wow. The host had no personality, and whoever was trying to script him one was failing horribly. I'll grant some lenience, considering the writers strike that's going on. Is it affecting MTV too? Maybe. But that doesn't excuse the miserable laugh track they were running over the show. It was embarassing. I've always known that MTV puts together trashy, pointless television, but it's at least entertaining to watch. Maybe it's just more embarrassing to watch someone blow it on live tv than on a pre-recorded program.
But Room Raiders is on now, which makes me want to drop what I'm doing and go bleach my comforter, or something.
